Session Description: Intubating the crashing asthmatic can bring a sense of calm to the resuscitation room...until the ventilator starts to alarm! In this case-based lecture, we will take a step-by-step approach to ventilating a patient in status asthmaticus, from initial ventilator settings to pitfalls and rescue maneuvers, all while minimizing ventilator alarms and preventing hemodynamic collapse!
