When your patient has massive oropharyngeal bleeding, there is no time to call in a consultant as exsanguination can occur within minutes. We will discuss how to identify patients who are at high risk for massive hemorrhage and the life saving steps needed for stabilization.

After this session, the learner will be able to identify patients at high risk for massive oropharyngeal hemorrhage and recognize the potential for catastrophic consequences even if hemostasis is achieved.
