Session Description: Kids have a tendency to put objects of all kinds in their mouth, nose, ears, and anywhere else they can find a good hiding place! In this session, a case-based approach to removing foreign bodies from different locations, particularly in young pediatric patients, will be presented. This will include methods using readily available tools in both community and tertiary care emergency departments, as well as more sinister foreign bodies and situations that require immediate attention and often a specialist.
Learning Objectives:
Use materials and helpful tricks readily available in the emergency department to more easily remove foreign bodies in pediatric patients
