Focus will be on 3 of the most prevalent and widely accepted psychedelic drugs: Cannabis, Ketamine, and Psilocybin.
Cannabis: This will cover an expansion of my previous breve dulce lecture from last year covering medication interactions and how chronic cannabis patients require different dosing of medications due to receptor-binding and hepatic metabolism changes.
Ketamine: Discussing the body of evidence on the approved uses of ketamine treatment and the side effects of chronic ketamine use like ulcerative/hemorrhagic cystitis.
Psilocybin: Better understanding of what psilocybin is and why patients are using it to treat various medical issues. Also, discuss the potential adverse effects of chronic micro-dosing due to cardiac valvular implications.

After this session, the learner will be able to comprehend the adverse effects of a patient''s chronic psychedelic use and how it might change workup/disposition for an ED provider.
After this session, the learner will be able to avoid drug-drug interactions in the ED for patients who are currently/chronically using psychedelic medications.
After this session, the learner will be able to understand why patients might be taking chronic psychedelics to treat various medical or psychological issues.
After this session, the learner will be able to comprehend the adverse effects of a patient's chronic psychedelic use and how it might change workup/disposition for an ED provider.
