Christine Butts, MD FAAEM is a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Wisconsin. She attended medical school at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California and completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, Louisiana. After residency, she completed a fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound also at Louisiana State University in New Orleans and subsequently became the ultrasound director. After 15 years in this role, she took a new position at the University of Wisconsin this spring. Her academic interests are in all things ultrasound, particularly in resuscitation and low resource environments. When she's not at work, she enjoys reading, baking, traveling and spending time with her 2 year old son.
