Dr. Blake Davidson, MD recently completed his EMS Fellowship at the University of Alabama Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama. He previously graduated Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Kentucky in Lexington in 2022 and is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Davidson has spent the past year expanding the education of EMS continuing education throughout the state of Alabama. He has been the Field Physician for multiple agencies during this time as well responding to scenes and providing assistance as needed on scene. He has also assisted in multiple aeromedical transport agencies in the region aiding as a second rider during scene calls. Along with the on-scene response throughout the year, Dr. Davidson regularly provides lectures at the local, state, and regional EMS conferences.
During residency, Dr. Davidson served as a Kentucky American College of Emergency Medicine Board member and is currently a member of the Emergency Medical Services Committee of this division. As of July of 2023, Dr. Davidson returned to the University of Kentucky and serves as the University’s Emergency Medical Services Director.
