Captain Christian Wade currently serves as a senior Emergency Medicine resident at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. He completed his internship at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, where he was a Distinguished Military Graduate. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland, graduating with honors as a Capstone Scholar. Before embarking on his medical career, Captain Wade pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida. It was during this time that he earned his commission into the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant through the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC).
Captain Wade has a keen interest in academic medicine and takes pride in his extensive scholarly contributions. To date, he has published 10 noteworthy scholarly works, 9 of which are PubMed indexed encompassing reviews, book chapters, and case reports. Most recently, he was the sole recipient to ACEP’s national 2023 scholarship program to attend the Emergency Medicine Basic Research Skill (EMBRS) workshop. He also concurrently serves as the President of the Madigan Residency Council and a voting member to the Madigan GME Council.
